I cannot convey to you the sheer fucking weirdness of Olivia Nuzzi's book.

Prisoner or recluse. Inside the house yet somehow on the loose. America’s dancer trapped in its jewel box. On a tour called Dream Within a Dream, she performed this way. Emerged from the center of the stage, arms stretched overhead, in a tulle skirt. At the time the country was at war and she was in a different kind of captivity. I loved her then and love her now. She is all heart. She is all broken heart.
