You shouldn't use ChatGPT as a source of information, but 15 years ago people were saying the same thing about Wikipedia.
Wikipedia improved because good-faith editors donate their time to curate it. AI won't improve without some sort of oversight or incentive to protect users from misinformation.

i do not think this is true. i'm pretty sure there's other forms of employment
for a generation boxed out of nearly all other growth opportunities, new media has been one of the few remaining places to build a following and even a living without needing access to financial or cultural capital. now the government is unilaterally foreclosing on that future for millions

Finally finished Naomi Novik's nine book Temeraire series. I now have the classic fantasy dilemma: how to convince my friends to read a few good books, in order to get to the great books later in the series
