It *appears* the Chicago Police have a new surveillance tool. We say that b/c the Mayor's office won't confirm the details. This follows a long history of agencies secretly entering into "trials" for surveillance that become permanent. Brandon Johnson is complicit.

Trump’s trying to gut funding for libraries: you can fight back with ALA.

The President's executive order to dismantle the Institute of Museum & Library Services would be deeply harmful. We need to speak out.

Take action NOW: tell Congress to protect library funding.

I love how the increasingly fascistic government thinks it somehow sounds *better* that an 11 year old cannot post anti-Trump sentiments without the literal Secret Service showing up than to admit when ICE agents are attempting to raid public schools. That's their save?
Soooo…regardless a Federal Agency decided to go to a CPS Elementary School to get a child—-because of a video an 11 year old made—that criticized the President?!
Through all this chaos— it was the school staff who kept this child safe.
UPDATE: Secret Service agents — not ICE — were denied entry at a Chicago school despite initial CPS reports, a CPS source said.

Secret Service agents were looking for an 11-year-old who posted an anti-Trump video, the source said. https://buff.ly/3EatFDz
