Reactionary centrist logic also ignores power dynamics. So when they make these both-sides-are-to-blame arguments, as proof they will appoint a nobody as an authoritative representative of the left saying something stupid on SM, as balance for a RW govt enacting violence with no consequence.
The reactionary centrist logic is simple: if the left does something bad it’s the left’s fault, and if the right does something bad, it’s also the left’s fault for making them do it. It’s a simple formula and once you see it every one of their arguments is the same

You literally cannot live together with people that will use lethal force for mundane things as happened in MN.

ICE murdering someone was predictable. Trump not only taking no action but defending it is expected. This happening again and more frequently is inevitable.
Trump: "I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting ... "

It's not that hard to explain or understand. They have abandoned the coalition that voted then in, to court voters that are already well catered for and wouldn't bother voting for them if they weren't.

No one will thank you for betraying them or their principles.
Glad the FT is asking the question. Even if I’m not convinced they found a compelling answer.
I get that Starmer & Reeves are unpopular, I really don’t understand the extent of the dislike.

UK culture warriors can and have had a lot of successes from just repeating American right-wing panics and victimhood. However, it exposed their finances and influences when they just blindly copy everything. Guns and evangelicalism are two examples where we culturally and historically differ.
The UK far right is increasingly infiltrating the Anglican church so this is bang on trend.

Every advancement in media causes a problem for the establishment. Gutenberg's press was an issue for The Church. Television did for politicians that came across as stuffy and haughty. The amplification of direct feedback social media offers the masses has broken many establishment brains.
No, it’s the children who have humiliatingly and very publicly deranged their brains with Twitter dot com, while wandering drunkenly around their massive house

Most of Linehan's ex-collegues have not been mean to him, they just haven't coddled his monomania or publicly credited him for going so far down transphobic rabbit holes. He wouldn't thank them if they did, his ego and self-indulgence is out of control which explains how he got here.
Again, the business of the British press is recruiting an unending series of toxic bigots and very right wing cranks to help kick fuck out of people the lads despise and want to harm.

Of course he wouldn't. Scripted comedy is underfunded and they don't take chances on writers with no track record like they did 30 years ago.

That and the brainworms.

Mostly the brainworms.

It's this easy to rattle Farage. Just repeat his words and actions back to him and he'll be rolling his eyes and folding his arms trying not to look absolutely fuming and flustered.

As a voter, if voting for my favoured political party not only boosted that party but also made other parties panic, particularly the giving party, and copy my favoured policies, it's a highly effective vote. Why would I change it?

If Reform's policies appeal to you, you will vote for them. If by voting for Reform it makes other parties, particularly the party in government, ape Reform's policies that's a double win for you.

Why would you not keep voting for Reform and getting the policies you want from everyone?
Labour turning the dial up on US Dem-ification there - we will offer you absolutely nothing, but you'll vote for us because Farage/Orange Man Bad.

Once again; I haven't looked, but I'm assuming this has been working out super well in other places, yes?

Won't someone think of the children that are being beaten by this stick I personally whittled for the purpose of beating children.
I'm not kidding. That's the fucking argument. "Kids will be harmed by the policy we rammed through once they grow up, so do conversion therapy on them."
