Imo you shouldn’t get a gong for philanthropy if the millions you gave away was earned on the back of low wages to contracted workers and/or directly employed staff. If you weren’t a Living Wage Employer? You were and are part of the problem not the the solution. #nzpol #HonoursList #WindowDressing

Wild to have a Government simultaneously claiming they *can't* pay essential public servants more because they just don't have the money, but also being hyped to drop $18b on a road.

They are fundamentally unserious people.
The Northern Expressway we were told would cost $10 billion is now priced at $18 billion, or six times the Cook Strait crossing we were told was unaffordable. This is fantasy stuff. www.nzherald.co.nz/northern-adv...

A tragedy we see too often. Road works and other construction works creating unsafe situations for pedestrians and cyclists - creating barriers and forcing them into risky situations. We need far more training and regulation and punishment for those who put people at risk.

When, as a result of my driving abilities (FA), I drive my car into solid objects then my car suffers damage (FO). This makes me angry about the solid objects. Solid objects I drive my car into should be replaced by soft squishy objects, like cyclists, that will not damage my car when I hit them.
News story describes drivers navigating their cars into stationary objects, who then characterise this as suffering an attack on themselves. Are they OK in New Plymouth?

FYI juror fees have not been increased since 2004 (yes 21 years ago). The maximum payable is $127 for more than 3 hours and beyond 9 pm.

The usual daily rate is $62 for more than 3 hours but not beyond 6 pm.

Jury duty is obviously nowhere near as important as being on a board. 🤬

People are turning away from National in droves. It's starkly obvious that this government only has the interests of the wealthiest in mind and are driven by their own ideological pet projects. They've done nothing for the average Kiwi and have made the majority of them far worse off.
