I wonder if ASIO investigates the foreign interference in our country by assumed allies and friends.

I wonder if the AFP has ever bothered to investigate dual citizens and IDF members for war crimes.

I wonder why *not* either of those things….

And why this is kept hidden from Australian citizens.

Religions don't deserve special treatment
AC Grayling: It is time to reverse the prevailing notion that religious commitment is intrinsically deserving of respect.

The largest population problem our climate has, is the explosion in the billionaire population.

"Government policies have allowed and encouraged people buying big harmful cars."

The persistence of those policies is yet another reason the Australian government cannot be taken seriously on climate and environment. #auspol

Australia’s sales of big cars are out of control
Australia has a big “big car” problem; we have too many SUVs and utes, and we keep getting lots more of them.

ALL donations to parties should be restricted to registered voters only.
Corporate & business donations should be prohibited

What is the actual point of democracy if a corporate donation carries infinitely more value than your vote?
Time to address the chronic donation-induced corruption of our election process…before Australia arrives at the same sorry state as American politics.
Make votes count, not 💰💰💰💰💰

👇
IF, as a voter, you expect politicians to prioritise issues most important to society, and not pander to the whims of corporate donors & and their seedy lobbyists, political donations MUST be limited in size and restricted to registered voters.
We, the voters, need to take back democracy

The NACC has defied the odds by going back-to-back 🏆🏆
After another year of doing absolutely nothing, congratulations on retaining Stranger’s Useless Govt Agency Award.
Consistency is key 👍
And the Australian 2024 Useless Government Agency Of The Year award goes to . . . . .

*drum roll*

the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

Yaaay!! Well done @strangerous.bsky.social for judging the #NACC the supreme winner out of a crowded field of incompetent, taxpayer-funded duds.

SBS told us last week how there are lawyers tracking over a dozen Aussies serving in the IDF & preparing criminal complaints. What we are not hearing are the huge donations & support from communities in Aus.

Want to reduce the target? Start there with those massive elephants the room. #AusPol

Gas is climate poison. Anyone lobbying for anything other than the fastest possible wind down of extraction is facilitating the destruction of the living world. If people are struggling to pay their energy bills that’s a wealth distribution problem not a not enough gas problem. Watch your framing.

What breeds resentment and hatred more than just about anything else, is feeling powerless, oppressed and marginalised. Silencing one group’s right to voice their feelings about global events, in order to protect the feelings of another group, will not improve social cohesion in any way.
