I called both @amyklobuchar.com and @smith.senate.gov this morning (Senator Tina Smith is already a confirmed NO vote but wanted to make my voice heard anyway), please make calls to them or your senators ASAP!

This might be the thing for me to finally get over my phone call anxiety. I’ve downloaded the app and plan to start making calls shortly!
Okay, I cannot recommend 5calls.org enough. Enter your address and it will find all your reps (federal and state). AND give you a list of issues to call about AND which reps to call about each of them AND a little script for each, in case it's helpful. They have an app, too.

I just emailed our school district’s superintendent - I’m not too worried about our district compared to more conservative areas, but I want to make sure we are crystal clear about not complying with this latest executive order.

In the time since federal minimum wage was last raised (2009), inflation has gone up 46.2%. $7.25/hr is absolutely a poverty wage when in most parts of the country $15/hr is barely enough to get by.

Shamefully, the federal minimum wage hasn't been raised since 2009 and remains at $7.25/hr.
