💯 facts, that's how fucked this really is and always has been
So the National Press Club - an association of journalists - doesn't wanna talk about all the journalists being deliberately targeted and murdered during a genocide because . . . it might upset the people that are targeting and murdering the journalists who were reporting on a genocide?

Umm, WTF?

Like so many issues we face today - the shocking events in the childcare sector all started with Howard - who allowed private operators who prioritised profit over care to dominate the sector.

Why is the Minns Govt dragging its feet on establishing the Great Koala National Park, an election pledge that helped them win?

Is it allowing the destruction of the forest, with taxpayers' funds, so it can say there isn't enough worth saving?

Koalas, and taxpayers, betrayed by NSW old-growth forest destruction
NSW taxpayers are bankrolling the destruction of our heritage, further endangering the very existence of our beloved koalas. It’s an environmental disaster.

Of course I’m relieved the LNP didn’t win. But tonight listening to an 18 yo check out worker at the supermarket tell me how they’re struggling to survive - let alone get housing - I know this country needs change and I remain skeptical that Labor will commit to tangible reforms that go far enough

2/ There’s room to report on both.

We deserve more info. on new Ministers, Senators, balance of power in Senate, affect on governing, policy priorities, focus, front bench etc

You know, more analysis on things that will actually affect us.

Three years I ago I thought a Labor majority meant serious progressive reform.
This morning I think a Labor majority means another three years of minimalist government.
Sure hope I’m wrong.

Labor says Dutton’s public service cuts are from the ‘DOGE’ handbook. Here’s where jobs could go
Just 7000 new public service jobs have been created in Canberra under Labor, forcing the Coalition to cut 34,000 jobs from the rest of Australia or gut the capital.

President Trump has no place imposing his ideologies on Australian researchers. This is an insidious intervention in Australia’s national sovereignty that runs contrary to fundamental principles of free speech, academic integrity and robust, evidence-based research.

Including mandatory sentencing in the Hate Crimes Bill was yet another example of the major parties teaming up to ram laws through the Parliament that pollute good policy with bad politicking.

Mandatory sentencing does not work & should be repealed.
