Our government’s official policy is “hurt and exploit workers to enrich their bosses.”
Only one of two things can be true: Either Trump's Labor Department actually believes that Trump's immigration enforcement is destroying the agricultural sector and threatening food security, or they are pretending this threat is real in order to crush wages for both foreign and domestic agricultural workers. Neither look particularly good.

Oregon National Guard Adjutant General, General Gronewold says if they are federalized, that he will advise the Title 10 commander to utilize National Guard Troops to PROTECT protesters at ICE facilities. This is the right answer.

My friend died this year, with medical debt to the tune of $2,800,000+.

He had insurance through his job.

He got cancer.

He lost his job/insurance due to his treatments.

He couldn't afford insurance because he lost his job.

There is no way your average person can afford these new rates.

CNN: “An older couple making $85K/year will see their yearly insurance premiums jump from $7K to $25,000 — 30% of their income.” 😳#TrumpShutdown #TrumpHealthCareTax

This is what Dems are drawing attention to and want fixed. Now, not later.

The 7 largest U.S. health insurers earned a record $71.3B in profits in 2024 despite rising medical costs and increased utilization. Those profits could have gone towards health care and insuring the uninsured. That is who Republicans are fighting for.

The same people who insisted devout Catholic Joe Biden was leading a “war on Christianity” are now cheering Trump on as his armed goons assault clergymen.

WATCH: Trump’s lawless Ice goons shoot an unarmed priest in the head with a pepper ball. Completely out of control.

I am saying once again that the Conservative attack on the Arts is because they are incredibly envious of artists who they perceive as a group that has “too much” cultural power, a type of influence Conservatives crave but will never have because they’re anti-intellectuals with no imagination.

glad to be born at a time when i got to see what life was like before the internet and will be dead before AI completely destroys humanity

I was like “I’m in!”, then I saw prices lol
May still check out online auction. I love Bob Ross, still put Joy of Painting on when I’m charting

“Bonhams sold two early 1990s mountain-and-lake scenes in August for $114,800 and $95,750. The 30 paintings have total value of $850,000 to $1.4 million”

I know this is said a lot but if you hate immigration, you can only eat the foods of your people prior to 1492. So for people of European descent that means not just no indigenous foods (no potatoes, no tomatoes, no corn), no Mexican food and no soul food either - there's no slavery exception clause

You can have an autographed photo of yourself with the President and First Lady of the United States.

It won't matter to ICE.
Photo of Sergio Garcia with George and Laura Bush, signed to him by both

Bad Bunny has a chance to do the funniest thing ever by inviting Zach Bryan to sing the anti-ICE song at the Super Bowl.

You’d think we want to keep people contributing $4 trillion to #economy

“This information stems from the 2025 U.S. Latino GDP Report released in April. The report showed that the U.S. Latino GDP reached $4.1 trillion, elevating it to the world’s fifth-largest GDP and larger than India’s economy”

Again, going in circles, but Trump ****literally**** does not understand how the American government works. He has ****never**** understood it. He was, until this administration, protected from his own stupidity but now there is no longer anyone at the helm. It’s ***actual*** anarchic governance.

Yeah, I'm the same way, I have kind of gone out of my way doing #outpatient work entirely because of the notes, I enjoy the patient interaction, but I am very inefficient with the documentation. #Inpatient is easier in some ways.

I've seen firsthand that there is an amazing difference between what is produced by AI in response to a couple of sentences vs. a careful refinement of an AI prompt into a few pages of instructions.

I have faith that AI has a huge role to play in making healthcare better when applied carefully to the task of improving healthcare. I believe that this will require probably writing a book-length set of custom instructions to guide any engine in the production of quality information. ...

These are some of the use cases he presented. Basically helping with pattern recognition and #EMR #documentation so we can do what we value most - spend time with #patients.
One can hope in a perfect world, though I'm still skeptical of the technology as it exists now

she came in with only a folder with a piece of paper with a few handwritten notes in it, drew out the proposed surgery and treatment options by hand while explaining to patient and family
Basically, he said he wants #AI to do the stuff that prevents that doctor-patient interaction currently

Listened to an interesting talk by a #CriticalCare #doctor who is now working full time at #Google #health. He presented some compelling use cases for #AI in #medicine, and I think his last anecdote was important - a highly respected (woman) #surgeon walked in when he accompanied a family member
