Just read *about* the Harper's Letter, and this is my take away - you shouldn't put your name on anything if you have any qualms about who else might be attached to it. Alternately, if your views change depending on who shares them, maybe don't publicly spout them.

Just talking about this last night. We no longer have a real middle class, more like a class of people living on credit to keep up an image they've been spoon fed.
Reuters, CNN: Christmas shopping on credit is up in 2025; as a vanishing middle class is strained to the upmost just keeping their heads above water, the wealthiest 10% generate almost half of consumer spending. Increased sales figures are driven by inflation, not increased disposable income.

My child is at an awkward intersection of height and weight. She's been wearing the wrong length of pants for so long because they fit her waist that she is unphased by the concept of highwaters.

The kitten is eating something that is very thin plastic. I think it was either already broken into small pieces, or it's brittle enough that she can break it and then swallow it in little chunks. It's still pretty solid when it comes out. I cannot figure out what it is or find the source.
