Sonic CD has a platform that appears once in 1 hidden path in 1 time zone of 1 level
it drops from the top, respawns infinitely, & goes up when you stand on it. I only came across it on my 30th playthru, because you'll never see it normally. It even has a slightly different look in the Good Future

I’m envious that I’ve never once tried the 16-bit Fantasy Zone II that everyone seems to love, tho Super Fantasy Zone on Mega Drive is a total masterpiece.

Amy was supposed to fall in a pit in Dubious Depths before getting rescued by the end of the stage. Apparently the folks modding the stage back into the game are finally gonna do this idea justice lol.
