The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

The idea that life would be about the same for people in America right now no matter who won the 2024 election is probably the most Caucasian thing I've ever read - and this is coming from me, a guy so white you can read by me in a dark room.
Do you think Harris would have protected trans people if she'd won?

Do you think she would have handled Gaza any differently?

Do you think she would have protected immigrants?

Life for the people who didn't vote for either candidate would be roughly the same.

And I DID vote for her, by the way.

Once again a reminder: We can have trans rights, bodily autonomy, gender nonconformity, and freedom of expression, or we can have none of these things.

There’s no third option.
In addition to this administration trying to kill kids, and they're also coming for our binders? OUR BINDERS.

Denaturalization is extremely rare. Per the Times, Justice Department figures say that only about 120 denaturalization cases had been filed since 2017. “Setting a quota for denaturalization is vicious and cruel, and designed to send a message of fear,” said Aaron Reichlin-Melnick.

I'm not going to say Israel is in any way responsible for this shooting — it's not a false flag, and what the shooters did was their responsibility alone — but the conduct of the Israeli Government in its wake is absolutely repugnant
Today, Benjamin Netanyahu said it is so 'antisemitic' that Australia called for a Palestinian state that it inspired the mass shooting.

In case you were wondering who is trying to capitalize politically off of atrocity.

he is a fully formed oaf, consuming eggs by the dozen in one of the greatest villain songs ever written, and that is all we need of him

Thinking of that time when my dad, himself a doctor, was thrown by a horse on a trail ride. Punctured his spleen, internal bleeding, got him to an ER just in time. He lived another 20 years. With two hours delay, probably wouldn't have.

We rushed to *nearest* ER. Not comparison-shop for ER prices.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

If I cared about “religious freedom,” I would rather be able to go to church without getting sick than be able to go to public school without vaccines but what do I know
We are in Medieval times.

16 cases are linked to a church, which followed exposures at four schools last week.

The outbreaks are threatening to cost the country its measles elimination status, which was earned in 2000 after vaccination efforts stopped the virus from spreading continuously. 🧪

more to the point imo, purposefully isolating youth & cutting them off from the vital safety of support systems that can build is flatly abusive. it's all but openly about preventing kids from finding out what is being done to them by authority figures in their lives is wrong and violent
And what makes the age of 16 safe to be online? What makes any age ever safe to be in this world? It’s not, it never was, and we shouldn’t wrap our children up in bubble wrap. We should demand a safer world for them instead, one in which they get to participate, fully
