Each time a remotely progressive candidate wins office in the US, the rich declare they're going to leave town. What do they actually do? Nothing. A 2016 study found only 0.04% of millionaires move in a given year due to tax increases. Rich people talk to feel important. Please properly tax them.

Scotland's government achieves this without the full financial powers available to independent nations.

Imagine what we could achieve for Scotland's people if we made the decisions on how our nation's wealth was spent?

Delivering #SocialJustice is one reason why I support #ScottishIndependence.
The Scottish Government has pursued a different social security agenda to the UK as a whole.

Projections suggest that child poverty in Scotland fell between 2022-23 and 2024-25, while it rose in England.

Under current policy assumptions, rates are projected to diverge further.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
