Almost 60% of bills were passed under urgency this term…

60 FUCKING PERCENT!!!

That is outrageous.

#nzpol
Yesterday I posted about my new web tracker of how often the parliament has gone into Urgency this term. #nzpol seemed to appreciate it and this evening I added a way to see the percentage of bills passed under urgency by each parliament.
The results are interesting!

Predictable Government half-assery resulting in half-assed outcomes. I'm shocked I tell you, shocked.

Their ideologically-driven impulsive restructuring left a vital organisation of more than 100,000 workers with 79 IT support staff.
Consultants hired to run Health NZ’s IT service desk after layoffs
Critics say a restructure gutted the health department’s IT service team, then it had to hire consultants to fill the gaps.

Why the rush? Again, its because the regime knows they are going to lose the election. So they're trying to give Shane's donors their payoff before the law is repealed.

...which is why we don't just need immediate repeal, but revocation of all permits issued. No reward for corruption!

I remember when asset sales were gonna lead to mum and dad shareholders and now we just have mum and dad paying $500 power bills in the winter. The right wing ideology is a scam. It’s a pyramid scheme. It’s useless. It improves nothing.

A good thing for New Zealanders to consider every time a local politician starts to make noises about moving toward privatized healthcare, or a "competitive insurance market"
I was sent this by a Georgian this morning. 2025 premiums vs 2026 premiums for someone making $65k a year.

Republicans in Washington did this.

This is what I'm fighting to stop. This is what’s at stake in this shutdown fight.

Every time I hear Health NZ representatives say the nurses are putting people at risk I think: no, Health NZ, you are putting people at risk and this strike is Nurses trying to stop your harm
I want the government to fund our nurses and healthcare system. I know people whose healthcare was delayed, not by strikes, but by our overburdened system struggling under the load.

There isn't even appropriate gynaecological care in our capital city. It's INSULTING how poorly our public system is.
I support the nurses strike
