Compare & contrast. This is Trump’s demand for Greenland. And this is Hitler’s for the Sudetenland.

There is no difference. The language. The unstoppable need to dominate. The megalomania. It’s the same.

And Keir Starmer’s response is appeasement. We are in that moment.

What the Government of Greenland says here is correct. Don't say "I'm sorry." Raise your voice in protest, on the streets. Write your representatives in Congress to get off their duffs and act.

I understand exhaustion. I understand cynicism. But saying “I don’t do politics” is still a choice and it’s a choice with consequences for everyone else!

Democracy asks something of us, even when it’s uncomfortable. Especially then. Because the cost of disengagement is paid by the most vulnerable.

I appreciate the sentiment here, but it is only honest to say that the United States will never be the same again. The U.S. that led the world in scientific research in so many disciplines is done. It may be possible someday for some to be rebuilt, but why would any other country trust us again?
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

I didn't even know it was possible to close the gap between White voters and Black voters to just 9 points.

SEVENTY PERCENT OF WHITE VOTERS say the country is out of control. 50% of Trump voters do!!!!

Trump is risking a war with BRITAIN and FRANCE, our closest allies for 200 years, both of which have their own nuclear arsenals!

Federal agents are pulling over off duty cops based on the color of their skin.

This is not a serious operation to enforce immigration law. It’s a performative show of force and it’s gotten way out of hand.

What’s happening is shameful and they clearly don’t care. The whole operation is a farce based on the WSJ reporting that ICE agents are rewarded no matter who they arrest because it’s all about pretend numbers and footage for their propaganda.
New — I wrote about ChongLy Scott Thao, the elderly Hmong American wrongly arrested and forced out of his home by ICE in his underwear during the punishing Minnesota winter, what witnesses saw, and DHS's racist claim that he fit the description of another Asian man they were looking for.

My story:
Behind the disturbing image of ICE snatching a half-naked, elderly Hmong American from his home
DHS has claimed without evidence that they were looking for someone else when they took ChongLy Scott Thao.

In an unhinged letter to the Norwegian prime minister, Donald Trump falsely claimed that there are no documents indicating Denmark's claim to Greenland.

In fact, the US signed a still-binding 1917 treaty with Denmark to certify that it would not challenge Danish control of Greenland.

DHS has put out a story that Renee & Becca Good had "followed around" ICE agents "all day." That always raised questions since incident occurred circa 9:30 a.m. Family lawyers say they hadn't followed anyone but were driving home from school dropoff "when they spotted federal agents and stopped."

Congress can stop ICE. Congress can block the use of force in Greenland. In other words, in this crisis, Congress can act to support civil liberties at home and free nations abroad. To fail to act would be to be complicit in a dreadful outcome.

Forced face scanning of a U.S. citizen with zero cause, just bald racial profiling. This is tech fascism.
Mubashir and his family came to the United States as refugees from Ethiopia when he was a child, and they all became naturalized citizens in 2019.

Despite being a U.S. citizen, Mubashir was targeted by ICE, assaulted, and detained. Listen to his story:

New tariff just dropped.

Americans set to pay an additional 10% tax on all goods from Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.

It starts in two weeks, rising to 25% by June.
