To my shame I’ve never been in a book club, but I have spent many hours contemplating potential names for one. This is a thread of the leading contenders, starting with these five…

5. Page Against the Machine
4. Philip K. Dick Picks
3. Orwell-endowed
2. The Full Brontë
1. Prose Before Hoes

Hey. Just make the thing. Start today. With whatever you have now. Just start making it now. And then maintain momentum. Don’t stop or restart. Just go and keep going until you finish.

Trust me.

Hi Bluesky, could really use your help 🙏🙏

We just launched our latest game Starless Abyss - the exact week that Oblivion was shadow-dropped. Which has been *not fantastic* for our launch

If anyone can spare a RT, that would be so, so helpful ❤️❤️

17 years after Breaking Bad became a sensation with its story about a teacher who becomes a meth dealer in order to pay for lung cancer treatment, America is finally addressing the serious societal situation the show highlighted by making it a lot harder to be a teacher

I'm uncomfortable with the inevitable "his work was always crap" because it seems to say "you can tell who the predators are by how well they write" and ... no no you absolutely cannot, that's the whole point.

The best way to know if an author or artist you love is secretly a terrible person is... you can't. There are no magic tricks here. Awful people who successfully manage to be awful for years are good at hiding the fact they are awful. All the average person can do is deal on a case by case basis

Smallpox was a devastating illness, but it was also vulnerable to human ingenuity because:

1. It only infected people...it couldn't hide in animals.
2. It's a DNA virus, which makes its genome much more stable, and its mutation rate slower.
3. It was very clear when someone had smallpox.

Friendly reminder for this new year: if you want to draw you only need one thing: DRAW
It's okay if you don't have art studies, if you're bad at anatomy or color, if you draw on a napkin or if it looks “ugly” to you...
You don’t need to be “good” at something to have fun!

“Haha can you believe McDonalds is doing a Squid Game promo” easily yes because capital subsumes all critiques of itself and no popular TV show or piece of art will ever threaten or unsettle it

Starting this one today, comes highly recommended by girlfriend dearest. I love her handwritten notes to me!

Hoping I can finish it before end of the year, which would make my total 12.

Anyone else obsessed with thinking about the concept of immortality in stories and how it must change and affect the very soul of someone and who or what they become? So many stories do it very badly but some...MAN.

Have upgraded myself to drinking black coffee and having whole wheat + legumes based noodles.

Watching some D&D 5e on Youtube. Will resume tidying up the room in about 10 mins.

It's a relaxing space to be in, and the 20% of cleaning I did is already having a positive effect on me.

Happy Saturday!

All you newbies drawing their first comic and haven't printed their comic before: 300 dpi, CMYK colours, bleed and safety, 0 0 0 100 K black text on a separate layer. Make sure you have all of these on all of your comics files, otherwise you'll end up like me having to fix 660 pages of my webcomic

You will do readings where no one shows up. You will set up at events and sell no books. Rejection will show up in your inbox again and again. You will say “I wrote a book!” and folks will stay quiet or say “Cool!” and then not buy it. It’s all good. Part of the gig. KEEP AT IT.
