I know some people here are absolutely allergic to good news and three years of horror remain but even if Trump's not making succession plans, his movement is (bad ones)
wow so it really took less than a year to sink dreams of a third Trump term huh www.latimes.com/politics/sto...

Anyway sorry but in the real world economic harm to an aggressor state is inherently good even if it incidentally harms innocents because unfortunately their ability to not be affected by things beyond their control is not as important as stopping the aggression in q

+1 Lt. General, nice.
At least 7495 Russian officers have been eliminated in the Russian invasion of Ukraine since 24 February 2022.
Weekly update: +80 newly registered.

One beautiful moment of Polish family gatherings is when we all, regardless of age, gender, education and political views, agree on something. For example, that our longstanding"ordinary Russians are fine, it's their leadership that's crazy" take was, ultimately, deeply mistaken.

The only country who’s send troops to fight in Russo-Ukrainian war is North Korea, who the fuck are these allies I keep hearing about

Still kind of baffled by the security guarantees talk, US and EU - people who’ve been watching russia break every single law, kidnap children, loot, rape, torture and kill en masse, bomb cities and blow up dams, occupy NPP for years.

Those people are going to 100% help next time, pinky promise?

Something I think is worth pointing out is that right now over 10 million Ukrainian citizens live in the European Union. Many of them have by now finished university, apprenticeships, or even married. The idea that we can somehow reject a Ukrainian E.U membership as part of a ceasefire is a fantasy.

If we accept Russian demands that Ukraine can not join the European Union. Just take a moment to think about what that means. Not just an enormous betrayal of the Ukrainian people who have quite literally fought and died to join, but what will become of the 10 million Ukrainians living in the E.U?

It's more palatable and also if they elect another war criminal we can also just say that and continue to treat them as a pariah. Like I do think giving Israel an exit route out of being an apartheid state is pretty important.

But also, the whole YIMBY housing package works quite well with an anti-monopolist approach to corporate consolidation. They are, on policy grounds, natural allies. The fact that there is conflict between the people advocating for them is largely just cliquishness.

I don’t always agree with of the broader political takes from some “abundance”-coded pundits but man the abundance critics are just pure nonsense merchants

like, what’s this guy’s deal? literally making up a guy to dunk on the idea that cities should build more housing and transit.
