As far as I know, OMNI has only ever run one fashion story, photographed by Lucille Khornak for the magazine’s June 1982 issue.
Khornak asked fashion designers including Karl Lagerfeld and Thierry Mugler to contribute looks and fashion projections which
might help a time-traveler blend into the 21st century. Jean-Paul
Gaultier imagines we’ll spray on latex body suits, but I think the
most depressingly accurate prediction is from John Stavros, who
guesses that in the future the superrich will wear “expensive demi-
god” outfits while the poor “will make do with disposable dresses
and suits torn like toilet paper off a roll of cardboard.”

NEW — The remaining American members of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla being held in Israeli prison have been freed, a family member of one confirmed to me. They were driven to the Jordanian border and will be staying the night in Jordan before flying home.

One of the more incredible stories out of LA this year has been how a taco review blog became the best on-the-ground coverage of ICE raids in the city.

They do a dispatch every day, follow-up on the kidnapped people (which almost no media outlet has done), and fact-check government claims.
