We’re heartbroken to learn that Dr Jane Goodall has passed away, aged 91.

Dr Goodall was one of the true conservation giants of our time. Let’s honour her legacy by choosing to make a difference in the world - by protecting it.

Thank you, Jane, for everything you did for our planet. 💚

Seagrass prevents coastal erosion, stores carbon, and contributes to food security.

Yet, these vital ecosystems are in decline.

Pricing charities & communities out of justice is not the way to deliver nature-friendly development👩‍⚖️

Going to court is not something we undertake lightly, with costs already too high for some🪙

Ditching the commitment to affordable justice would mean unaccountable developers & more bad projects👇

Healthy ecosystems & human development can and should go hand in hand.
Policies that balance conservation with community needs, like sustainable fisheries and wildlife management, show us how to thrive while protecting nature.

Appalling & embarrassing for the UK as the #ClimateEmergency deepens & the need for urgent action increases ...but not that surprising given his and the Chancellor's ignorant & dismissive views on the environment - & their failure to recognise that society & economy depend totally on its health

If this is true it's an incredibly stupid policy. One of the priority roles of the EA is to ensure an adequate and sustainable water supply. If you fudge assessment of this you're inviting major problems a few years into the future.

What if it were possible to simulate how we lost our connection to nature over 200 years?

My latest research does just that and validates it against the decline in the use of nature words: findingnature.org.uk/2025/08/11/m...
