This isn't the easiest time to be Jewish in America. But now—and for a long time—it's been significantly harder to be Muslim.

Barring Jews from government was one of the Nazis' signature moves. Every American Jew has an obligation to speak out against the new Nazis trying to do the same to Muslims.

Incompetence in Washington puts every American at risk, no matter how you voted. No one should be happy that the DOGE team - the same folks who randomly published classified U.S. security information online today - wants access to your bank account & Social Security numbers.

You’re going to hear from people that Elon Musk did the Roman salute here and that’s true, he’s done it before.

But that’s NOT exculpatory.

The Roman salute was adopted by Mussolini and Italian fascists.

It was then adopted by Hitler and the Nazis.

This is not just a rogue billionaire with historical ties to white supremacists and Putin supporting a far-right German party (that would also be more pro-Putin). It is the closest senior advisor to the next president of the United States doing so. It should be framed accordingly.
Elon Musk’s pro-AfD commentary in German went online on Saturday ahead of being published on Sunday in the flagship paper of the Axel Springer media group, which also owns Politico. The editor of the German paper’s opinion section resigned in protest

The state of media for Americans is so completely broken
I want to watch TV coverage of the live fall of the Syrian regime.

CNN is airing a Giuliani documentary, Fox News has a comedian joking about Canada, MSNBC a documentary about migrants

So I turned on BBC,which is breathlessly switching between Syria, South Korea demonstrations, and Ghana election

I mean, Joe Biden did walk a picket line. He canceled student loan debt and nominated Lina Khan to the FTC. Kamala Harris talked about corporate price gouging and having Medicare pay for home care.
Progressive influencer Hasan Piker to CNN: “The Democratic Party needs to adopt real left-wing economic populist messaging, instead of purposely avoiding that stuff because they’re terrified of upsetting their corporate donors.”

When only one party deals in facts, facts start to sound political.

Yes, there is going to be a strong media push to turn the page on then”rapist, fraudster, traitor and 34 times felon” phase of Trump’s ugly political journey, something we cannot let go into the memory hole.
If/when Trump pardons 1/6ers and prosecutions of him are dead, there will be a strong media push toward "turning the page" and "looking forward, not backward." Trump will rewrite 1/6 entirely. Dems need to think now about how they're going to handle this.
