AltNPS posted about Alex Pretti's murder 25 times since this morning. During that time, they spread misinformation about the shooting, lied about knowing the shooter's name, and generally flooded the zone with shit.

They're trying to milk this story for all it's worth.

a reminder, again, that AltNPS is a grifter account run by people who have no affiliation with the National Park Service and indeed who never did have any affiliation with the National Park Service. They have no sources, they have no information, they are purely there to scam you.
"Receiving reports" my ass. AltNPS is not receiving reports of ICE raids in Saint Paul. They are seeing posts on social media like the rest of us.

I DO have loved ones in Saint Paul. ALL of my loved ones. They're terrified. Fuck you.

Disappointed to see Jon Stewart & co joke about masking in public. I do it for my medically fragile daughter (Batten Disease). People not masking properly led to her getting pneumonia, which led to her being on life support, which led to me getting price quotes on her cremation just in case.

SARS-CoV-2 is airborne. It can spread and linger in the air, a bit like cigarette smoke. This is why high-quality masks/respirators are so valuable in preventing infection with SARS-CoV-2 and other airborne pathogens

I'm currently working on a novel and at the end of an average day, I'm wiped out. The sheer amount of analysis, synthesis, making of connections, layering of prose, deepening of characterization, supplemental research... all the mental work is intense and exhilarating. Which is just to say, fuck AI.

It’s not a refusal to re-enter society.

It’s not shaping your life around Covid avoidance.

It’s adaptation. It’s a desire to protect health. It’s being willing to accept that things change, and masking & clean air are the way forward.

Mass death & disability is not normal

This is not fine. Viral infections are bad. Immunity debt is bullshit. Immunity theft and co-infection with COVID make things worse. Viruses can evolve increased virulence. Clean the air.
