If I was in opposition to such an unpopular PM the last thing I would do is call for him to stand down, enough rope, etc…

Same in the UK, probably getting worse with the disappearance of ‘intellectual’ Tories & Reform’s glorification of pig ignorance. I never know how to articulate this without making the problem worse! (As demonstrated above.)

2006 Portugal win the shoot out. The BBC have 30 minutes to come up with a montage that sums up English despair and also incorporates clips from the match.

In an incredible moment they go with an obscure Pet Shop Boys power ballad.

This was the BBC's finest hour.

If you vote Reform you will be voting against women’s equality, for more harassment in the workplace and beyond (as if there isn’t enough)

Remember 41% of the Farage Foot Soldiers arrested in last summer’s disgraceful riots had already been REPORTED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE

Amid all the stuff about ‘dangerous London’ and ‘broken Britain’, new figures show the homicide rate in London is at a 10-year low. Killings dropped by 26% over the last year, from 78 to 58. No one under 25 was murdered during the school summer holidays.

He’s always so shit in the face of decent questioning. Absolutely amazing how rarely it happens.
Democrat @raskin.house.gov excoriates Nigel Farage for banning journalists from Reform UK events:

"I'm asking you a direct question. Why do you ban journalists who oppose your views from coming to your events? Why did you tell local government not to do interviews with your local newspaper?"

64% of the richest 10% in Britain got most of their money via inheritance, not by working for it.

Such as Allsopp, the eldest daughter of Baron Hindlip, chairman of Christies, who got her start in TV via her art history degree, which she studied at ... Christies.

But sure. More austerity.

Here is the key section of that train wreck of an interview by Robert Jenrick on #r4today.

Robinson: Did you raise it when you were Home Office minister?

Jenrick: We talked about it... I wasn't... My portfolio... But we talked about it.
