Its Halloween season 🎃 and since the world is hellfire, what better way to distract ourselves then with horror movies!

The 2020s have already proven to be one of the best eras for horror ever. To fill your October with some viewing ideas, this is my list of the top 30 horror movies of the 2020s.

And then as a cherry on top, fellowship grant reviewers will say you do too much service and really ought to rebalance your time and dedication to research 😐 (or at least, that is what happened to me as a grad student)

My late season bloomers have really taken off the last few days. Absolutely delightful

photo of a white car driving on a road. obscuring the car is a service pole with a sign on it that says: "BE SEEN - GRAB A BRICK! 1. GRAB 2. LOOK 3. WAVE 4. CROSS" the sign has an illustration of a person holding a brick and standing in a confident pose. beneath the sign, there is a yellow basket full of bricks mounted on the service pole

The real answer is tubeless 😎 Otherwise I'm afraid flats are just a fact of life. On my Brompton I've run the Marathon Plus and now Continental Urban Contacts, which I much prefer to the Marathons, and I still get occasional flats from glass, metal, rat teeth (okay the rat tooth only happened once)

Inadequate bike infrastructure is a major contributor to cyclist casualties in the US, but the attitudes of US drivers are also a huge factor. They view cyclists not as fellow commuters but as obstacles that don’t belong there, and they assume anyone biking instead of driving is being a contrarian.

a small thing that has me unreasonably upset just on principle: discovered while shopping for car insurance that it's MORE expensive if you don't use the car to commute? We drive it a few times a month, surely our accident risk is much lower than if we drove to work every day!
