Haven't made art in a while, so I decided to try making a beachside sunset with GIMP 3.0.

(This would also be the first art I've made since Bluesky became a thing)

Curious noses.

This is the sort of welcome you get arriving home to your boy rats after visiting some girl rats. Or vice versa.

Like dogs, rats can learn much from each other’s smell - health, diet, relatedness, immune system compability. Imagine being able to do that with humans!

A commissioned art work I can finally share. Had so much fun painting these two pigeons on a rock!
If you feel like owning a commissioned painting yourself, I do paint most mammals, birds and extinct animals

I'm not sure how to word this but, there is a heck of a lot of communicable virus floating around in the air in indoor spaces in the US right now. Vaccines are awesome but I rarely see an important key to actually preventing transmission/infection mentioned:

N95 masks are very good. please consider

While covering how to draw clouded leopards is useful, I just couldn't find a good (enough) guide to the differences between the two clouded leopard species, and so I set out to make one.

I hope it'll be useful for artists and informative for all cat enthusiasts.

This is such a good book and very well illustrated

It was written in part by Yoshinari Yonehara who has a PhD in animal behaviour who has done work with Pokémon on games since Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Get this book. It's fantastic.

One of the cool things about Pokémon Legends: Z-A is how the text does adjust if you use things they don't normally expect, more than just giving an Alpha

In this side mission, use Malamar and get special text
Same if you use a Galarian Farfetch'd in the Farfetch'd mission

Here are some snow themed paintings to brighten your winter day. I love painting animals in the snow, the contrast between the warm soft fur and cold, icy snow is just irrisistable. Also, many animals get so much cuter in winter, growing their fluffy warm fur that protetct them against the cold. 🙂

Flirting Diplodocus.

A new study was able to locate melanosomes inside fossilized diplodocid scales. It concluded they had patterns and several types of pigment. Here's a somewhat creative interpretation on their possible appearance. #SciArt

quoting this one bc YAYYY I LOVE TALKING FASHION DESIGN‼️ (and tender posing) 🧵

First up: since Masked Marth is taking Marth's name, I decided to cobble together their outfit from old illustrations of Marth! Pretty much everything in their outfit is directly from him. (That sure made things easier!)

Somebody in the comments was like "flame war sounds so corny though" YES THAT'S THE POINT, "discourse" gives what amounts to turbo-dorks arguing on the internet (I'm one of them I'm allowed to use that term) an unearned veneer of legitimacy.
