Interestingly zero people got kicked out of schools for advocating the entire Mideast be turned into a sheet of glass post 9/11. Was a pretty common talking point too.

I appreciate the idealism. But the problem is that speech codes that are ambiguous and based on subsequent consensus are particularly rife for abuse.

@catsofyore.bsky.social , yesterday was hard for my child. He cried for a while because he was reminiscing about our cat of yore, Schrödinger. He died in September. He was 14. He was very sweet and fluffy.
