We cannot talk about the suffering disabled people face without also talking about the ways the state creates and upholds the conditions of suffering.

I have successfully hunted down covid boosters for the household. The one good thing about me having respiratory failure and a blood clotting disorder is that my partner and kiddo get to have their vaccines early too😆
Me smiling and looking to the left with my head rested on my hand. My left sleeve is rolled up to show the bandaid on my arm where I received my covid booster.

Pre-op done. Bc of my chronic respiratory failure, I'll likely remain intubated in the ICU for a bit after surgery. Also pretty high risk for rebound pulmonary emboli & hemorrhage. But! I need the surgery🤷‍♀️

At $4149/$6K with $1851 remaining. Surgery is Oct. 23rd. Any continued help is appreciated!

Apologies, somehow the original was deleted. I'm undergoing my 3rd urgent, non-elective revision spinal fusion this Oct to replace & extend my hardware. I'd appreciate any help in achieving this goal to ensure I have the resources necessary to recover safely & fully.

So hematologist called & we decided that while I stop my usual high dose anticoagulant 3 days before surgery, we'll bridge the gap with a low dose injectable anticoagulant so I still have at least some level of mitigation against my chronic clotting without increasing risk for hemorrhage too much.👍

Man it must be so infuriating to be a leftist over 60 having to see people act like most US bigotry or fascist policies is brand new or was invented in 2017

Parallel Point: Abusers often hide behind their “good politics” to make their allegations look less legitimate.

One weakness those left of “Hunting The Poor For Sport” have is the idea someone having good politics makes them immune from being terrible people. While it’s true rightists & centrists weaponize allegations against 1 person to invalidate entire movements, people with good takes can still be heinous

I really wish ppl would stop implying that it's only immunocompromised ppl at disproportionate risk for complications from covid. I'm not sure why I keep having to explain that my fucking *respiratory failure & chronic blood clotting* also put me at increased risk. Being disabled = increased risk.

Trying to get covid boosters for 2 adults and a child, even as an ~official high risk priority group~ really shouldn't be this fucking hard.

Hey friends. I have $1929 remaining to try to raise in time for my surgical date on October 23rd.

Out of pocket medical expenses are detailed in the GFM. Thank you to everyone who's helped me get this far. You are literally helping me survive in a very real, tangible way.

Not sure why I thought making a video would be a good idea, but I went through the trouble anyway so now everyone gets to see how painfully awkward I am.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who's helped get to this point. There's still a bit to go before October 23rd.

So happy to be back home with partner and kiddo. 🥰❤️

After posting this video I'm just now noticing part of my nasal cannula tube has been in a very tight knot this whole time, so that's probably why I've been feeling like ass, because I haven't been getting enough oxygen. Lmao.🤦‍♀️

I really hate my body sometimes. I wish my organs, joints, nerves and blood cells would just fucking function normally.
