I have begun to think that Minnesota pushback to ICE was unique and a model because it gave people something to do. It wasn’t about just going out in streets for rallying purposes. People had a mission: videos, whistles, information and communication flow to communities. They had something to do.

I look at some of my posts over the last week and I kinda cringe. I’m not trying to sound like some sort of social media revolutionary. What I’m trying to say is that all of us need to start using our voices, no matter how small we think they are. Together is the only way we effectively fight back.

Remember that month before Covid really hit in 2020? February into March. So many things happening quickly and we felt like we had no control over any of it. And then boom, everything was shut down. I have that feeling again now with Trump. But this time we can control it. If we fight back. If.
