This is how Christopher Caldwell begins his essay on Zohran Mamdani for the Claremont Review of Books.

I recommend that this is how people of color should respond to Stephen Miller and MAGA from now on. Don't be afraid. Don't be silent. And challenge them head-on. Clearly, they hate America and the Constitution. Why are they here? Go to Hungary or Russia.

dissatisfied by the New York Times coverage of Zohran Mamdani?

great news! I talked to the guy Thursday about his campaign’s success at bringing community together beyond this election, and contextualized how it’s potentially shifted youth engagement with politics by simply listening @teenvogue.com
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”

I interviewed Paulina Borsook, who warned of tech culture's toxic underbelly over 30 years ago.

She wrote a prescient and scathing book, "Cyberselfish."

It tanked her career, but a new generation is discovering her work as tech fascism tries to kill democracy 👇

1/ A longtime Wired editor just wrote a mush-brained essay about how he totally missed the political rot of Silicon Valley (& still doesn't get it).

But in the late 1990s, a Wired journalist warned of a toxic ideology bubbling up from tech. Paulina Borsook has largely been erased. Let's change that

Also currently in the terrible phase of planning where I am desperate to fit in some docs like the one about the Toronto GODSPELL production. I feel like I should get to see one thing just because it's Me Catnip, right? RIGHT?
I'm working on my TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival!) list, and my spreadsheet has a column for genre. I dutifully wrote down "road movie" and "fantasy dramedy" and so on, and then I got to GDT's Frankenstein, and under "genre," I wrote, "Frankenstein, man." It's okay to amuse yourself.

This is why I have no patience with the “but you don’t understand, this tech can automate coding tasks!” sigh-ers. If there are any circumstances under which your technology can operate *specifically* to encourage a teenager to take his own life, it ought to be pulled until you fix it.
There is so much terrible about all of this, but what strikes me most is how often the teen suggested involving his family so he didn’t go through with the suicide and it appears that each time, ChatGPT discouraged him.

Let's look at the *structure* of the episode.
