I got a Google email saying, “If you don't activate 2-step verification within [date] on the Admin account, we will lock you out of it.” OK, activate it. "No" Why? "Activate it from the user first." Ok, go to the user and activate it. "No". Why? Activate it as Admin first. The Google Death Loop.

I’m pretty sure this is a decision from someone who has never reported, discussed, or fixed any bug
When it comes to using AI for doing video game QA, my long-standing belief is that gen AI doesn't actually reduce work; it just moves it somewhere else in the stack. You are taking something that people are good at doing (QA testing) and making it an upstream engineering problem. No labor is saved.

Started Outer Worlds 2 and it feels like a mix of Fallout, Bioshock and Deathloop. Not sure if this holds up but the first impact is much better than I expected

You know like every other sci-fi novel has that “We need to recover the lost artifacts of the First People, because no one knows how to do this shit now”. I think this might be how it happens

Documentation in video games is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. It's almost impossible to keep it up to date until you really need it or the publisher casually asks, "List everything your game includes with descriptions. For yesterday, thanks."
