I had meetings in Inola, OK, today. My meetings took a recess at noon so the attendees could head outside to watch the escorted football team bus parade through town on their way to OKC for their first playoff appearance in several seasons. It was pure Americana.

It's 83° outside right now in OKC, and the sun is pounding down on us in late-August form.

Arguably the most iconic fictional (at least in origin) band of all time.

Oy. Got my sax out tonight for the first time since I participated in the OU alumni band in 2019. Fingerings, scales, everything came back like riding a bike... except proper embouchure. I kept tightening my jaw like in my clarinet days.

This looks awfully intentional.
None can be primaried in the next cycle, Shaheen & Durbin retiring.

Hassan, Masto, Fetterman up for reelection in 2028.

Rosen, Kaine, King up for reelection in 2030.

Get the unlikely pairing of Bernie and Rand to literally filibuster everything until Trump stops his authoritarian actions, at least.

The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)

Holy shit. Time to force Manfred into early retirement, if nothing else.
These new details from last summer's confrontation between Rob Manfred and Bryce Harper are absolutely insane.

MLB officials threatening players will "end up in a ditch" for disrespecting Manfred is outrageous behavior.

In case anyone was wondering (which you weren't, obviously), and with the holidays just around the corner, Trader Joe's "Aloha Rolls" taste significantly better/higher quality than Kings Hawaiian Rolls.
