Is Bluesky only filled with tankies?

Or are they mostly Chinese and Russian bots to help fuel our own internal divide now that we've left Twitter?

Would their followers even care if they were?

BREAKING

The Trump administration says it has frozen all childcare payments to Minnesota in the aftermath of allegations of fraud by some in the Somali community.

Important: allegations along these lines have existed for years, which has resulted in prosecutions starting with the Biden DOJ.

Pay attention Brits
Liz Truss, who served 44 days as UK prime minister, goes full Curtis Yarvin.

Interviewing Yarvin on her new podcast, she calls for overhauling UK government to fit his vision.

“I agree with you, having spent 10 years in the system, you need to start from scratch,” Truss tells Yarvin.

Heads up that this is authorization for Trump to create his own version of the Wagner Group. Which would bring the number of “armies” at his disposal to four:

*regular armed forces (most regulated)
*ICE (minimally regulated)
*private mercenaries (?)
*MAGA thugs/militias (rogue)

All pardonable

This is the Russia/Ukraine equivalent of "there are very fine people-on both sides"
Q: Some are saying Russia's recent attacks show Putin isn't serious about peace

TRUMP: Ukraine has made some very strong attacks also. I don't say that negatively. There have been explosions in various parts of Russia. I don't think it came from the Congo. I don't think it came from the USA.

It's crazy to me that Avenue 5 made it to air on HBO.

It's one of the rare sci-fi shows where the VFX is better than the writing.

That's impressive-levels of horrible writing.

MAGA doesn’t follow Trump because they think he’s a brilliant businessman or a tough guy. They follow him because he’s convinced mediocre, insecure people that their ignorance and stupidity are actually strengths, and that absolutely nothing is their fault. He gives them permission to be hateful.

GOP operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman, convicted election fraudsters, were paid $960,000 in the second quarter to secure a pardon for a former nursing-home operator who defrauded the government of $38 million. Trump pardoned the man, Joseph Schwartz, last month.

If you take every penny every billionaire has, it wouldn’t pay for 1 yr of expenses

The annual interest on the national debt is about 1 trillion dollars.

The annual cost of healthcare is 4T after admin. Then get rid of the military budget.

4T a year in expenses.

Then what ?
I can never understand how heartless billionaires are. All we are asking is you all pay your share to help your fellow man have a better quality of life. "Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction." Erich Fromm
