Cider glasses were made in England from 1630. In the Georgian period, the glasses reached a pinnacle of beauty with stems showing multiple air mercury or opaque twists. Cider glasses were always a minority but often the engraving was exquisite. Circa 1765 #cider #glasses #Georgian #drinking

If you transpose the word apples for grapes I doubt whether the eu would find a 50% juice content as an acceptable amount to be able to call the fermented result wine. Why the discrepancy?
My thoughts on the current proposal for an EU-wide definition of cider and related marketing legislation.

One of the things about our museum is that visitors think it's going to be small from the front. But it stretches... This was drone footage from our building work last year when we had to demolish and rebuild one of the 1890s 'champagne cider cellars'.
