Honourable @evansolomon.bsky.social - my question to you is why isn't the GoC considering banning X considering the harm that platform is doing and the obvious We-Don't-Give-A-Shit attitude of its owner?

Let's get this trending, people! #BanX #BanGrok
In 2024, I rose in Senate QP to ask why the Govt of Canada was still using X for official communications. Today, they are still there. What exactly will it take to break the spell?

“The “banality of evil" was coined by Hannah Arendt to describe the bureaucratic ordinariness of Nazi Adolf Eichmann during his 1961 trial. We’re seeing some real, serious evil these days (watch Stephen Miller) but there’s an awful lot of banality too. Banality, stupidity, cowardice, and apathy.

Support the Shannon Lee Memorial Bursary, helping a music undergrad with financial need who gives back to their community. Honouring Shannon Regan Young-Eun Lee, who passed away on Nov 7, 2025, at age 24.
Shannon Lee Memorial Fund
Shannon Regan Young-Eun Lee passed away on November 7, 2025 at the age of 24. Born in Mississauga and raised in Oakville, Shannon later found a home in Kitchener, where she continued to grow, create, and share her gifts with the world. Shannon lived a life full of compassion, creativity and love. Shannon Lee (any pronouns) was a recent graduate from the Integrated Musical Arts program at Wilfrid Laurier University, with a concentration in production. Since 2022, Shannon had been working as a full-time contract live sound technician around the KW region, specifically working as the venue technician at The Hub in downtown Kitchener. Shannon took great pride in being one of the few non-male, BIPOC, and queer technicians in the area and enjoyed aiding other marginalized musicians in learning the ins and outs of the music industry as well. When they were not behind a sound board, Shannon could be found on the other end of the board both writing and performing on stage with their band HouseCat, as well as doing contract work with Maxwell's, Sherwood Systems, the Registry Theatre, and other local venues and production companies across the KW region. She always had a deep connection to music and singing which led to the creation of her band “Housecat”. She loved performing and collaborating with her bandmates, laughing and enjoying every moment. She found joy in painting, arts, and creating beautiful things with her hands and her heart. She loved helping people, nurturing her pets, and plants, cooking and baking, and surrounding herself with the comforts she treasured, comforts like family memories, the people she adored, and her beloved stuffed animals. Shannon embraced everything and everyone with warmth and acceptance, offering kindness freely and seeing goodness wherever she went. The Shannon Lee Memorial Bursary is intended to support an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Music who demonstrates involvement in volunteer and/or extra-curricular activities in their community and financial need. First preference is for the award to be granted to a student who self identifies as a member of a protected group on the basis of race, disability, and/or gender identity, gender expression, sexual identity and/or sexual orientation. The fund is inspired by Shannon's spirit of meaningful work she did throughout her life and making the world a better place to live. Funds raised may be endowed or go to support an annual bursary. The minimum required to create an endowment at Laurier is $25,000. In the instance that the minimum to establish an annual expendable bursary is not reached ($5,000), funds will be directed to Laurier's Faculty of Music highest priority needs.

Earlier this year a group of government and CAF officials, plus health care leaders, gathered for only the second war games involving Canada’s health care system since 1939. It was more urgent, and less hypothetical. And it became a question about national resolve. www.thestar.com/news/canada/...
Can Canada’s health system survive if we find ourselves at war?
The country at war would be more than just the logistics of hospitals and ambulances and doctors and nurses. It could become something Canada has rarely faced: a true test

This really is an exceptional video and provides a huge service to the urban biking conversation around the world, and particularly here in North America and places like Australia/New Zealand. The length may scare you a bit, but if you really want to understand, it’s worth it.

I even have a cameo.
WATCH: If you REALLY want to understand a BIG reason why cycling [aka riding a bike] is so dangerous in North America, and one of the biggest villains in the origin story of our unsafe status quo, invest some time watching this one, by NOT JUST BIKES (aka @theurbanistagenda.com here).
