The method of English reading learning that works is phonics. My mom taught me how to read using Hooked On Phonics before kindergarten!
1/ I have dyslexia, but my father (a pediatrician) figured it out when I was 3 and taught me to read using the tools that work well with dyslexic children. I was reading Newsday by the time I was 4 & the NYT when I was 5.
When I got to kindergarten, my teacher tried to use 3-cuing. I rejected it.
