He was always going to do this. Chicagoans have not rioted, so the administration just lied and said we have. We have not attacked ICE agents, so they just lied and said we did. There was no chaos here, so they created chaotic scenes by attacking people and filmed that shit.

I am thrilled that Gov. Pritzker mentioned legal challenges to Border Patrol's seizure of expanded authorities in Chicago in a press conference and a national interview yesterday.

Everything I've looked at says it's unlawful.

Still struggle to understand how on earth Chicago keeps ending up on "border zone" maps. I looked for a legal explanation in 2018 and came up empty. Not my area, likely to have been looking in the wrong places, but. Where is this/why is this?

New: Broadview, IL Mayor Katrina Thompson issued an executive order today - her first this year - limiting protest outside the Broadview ICE facility to between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The order cites "recent escalation of violence by ICE" at the facility as reason to restrict protest there.
