Saw this bold bald eagle earlier today in Kenansville, Florida. I captured this image from the window of my car. Sometimes the roadside shots are the best! #Birding

My whole life I've been a firm believer in the "adopt don't shop" policy of never purchasing an animal, only rescuing them.

But I've recently stopped shopping at any stores that sell live animals too. The conditions animals are kept in at Petco/PetSmart etc is appalling so they won't get my money

The United States government is doing more to drive trans kids to suicide than to bring child rapists to justice.

The President is using trans kids to distract his idiot cult from his Russian nesting doll of crimes.

The Working Families Party, offering US voters a genuine alternative to captured politics, has had a wave of wins, (sort of) including Zohran Mamdani in New York.

If I were American, I know who *I'd* be voting for.

We didn't survive and thrive as a species because we had warriors or hunters - pretty much every omnivore can manage that.

We did so because we developed Grandmothers, and domesticated Dogs.

Community is what defines us as a species, and every "self-reliant" libertarian shitweasel be damned.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

That person would not have survived to show that evidence upon their very bones if other people had not cared for them during that time.

And in this archaeologist's opinion (which I agree with), the very bedrock of human civilization is just caring for one another.

Amazingly, reaction times using screens while driving are worse than being drunk or high—no wonder 90 percent of drivers hate using touchscreens in cars. Finally the auto industry is coming to its senses.

I want to live in a country where the obscenely wealthy don’t get to determine laws and policies, whether billionaire transphobes or media oligarchs.

I want a government that will stop these people from having any power or influence.

In short, I want democracy.
