I know he had an amazing career but the only thing I can think of is his cameo in "30 Rock" as a congressman murmuring simulated crowd noise. Why is this what comes to mind? No idea. But the scene gives me a smile every time I see it.

He made Earth a better planet, and I'll miss him.

"ICE and CBP must be abolished" is the only reasonable position. We can debate the specifics of new agencies for immigration functions, but these agencies are simply too infected with a culture of impunity, racism, and fascism to continue. They're gangs with badges.
Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.

Indiana GOP showing more sack than most of our Dem Senators and Reps. I hate that I have to look for bravery in the GOP but here we are. For all you peckers who keep saying "be mad at the Republicans, not Dems" I say fuck you because here we are.
Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

People don’t understand that stripping the guardrails of regulation and oversight doesn’t just apply to like better business bureau type shit but also like on a practical level when I get into an elevator I expect that it has passed a safety inspection & that type of security will be gone soon

COVID isn’t acting like the viruses most of us grew up with, and treating it like “just a cold” is putting people at real risk. David Brasure breaks down why SARS-CoV-2 is fundamentally different, how it causes long-term damage, and what we can do to protect ourselves.

We need new leaders in the Senate.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.
