Work was slow a couple days ago so I got to play with the light box. Some of these might show up on the DGC Instagram as part of a plant spotlight, but I had a fun time with it and wanted to share.

After playing a few hours of #Civ7 I feel there are a lot of critiques, but it comes down to this: the game has great potential, but it was hamstrung by being both a console and PC release.
First time I've refunded a Civ game; guess I'll be playing Humankind til it goes on sale this summer.

When they put the diss track ragging on you at the Super Bowl, into American Sign Language, it so far gone for you. There's now gestures that explain the diss into people who have never heard the song before. The destruction is total. bsky.app/profile/rvbd...

Fact-checking wasn’t “biased” against conservatives. Conservatives just shared more false content. If there’s a sportsball game and one team fouls four times as much, it’s not “biased” for the ref to call four times as many fouls against that team.

Meta is dropping fact-checking to avoid anti-conservative bias- but is there actually evidence of bias?
We this test empirically & find that conservatives
* ARE suspended more
* BUT share more misinfo
So suspension isn't necessarily evidence of bias www.nature.com/articles/s41...

The answer to whether Biden's presidency will be considered a failure or if history will pass a kinder judgment is that it absolutely does not matter and you need to get out of the loser mindset of things like being vindicated by "history." Politics is about power and outcomes. It's not a TV show.

Well, I guess I can thank Trump for one thing; watching the tech CEOs cozy up to him has finally given me the motivation to fully get off Facebook. Instagram is gonna be a little more complicated tho.

It can be difficult to judge a film's quality by its trailer, but I'm getting major 'World War Z' vibes from what I've seen. If you're going to make almost no attempt to stay faithful to the tone and story of the original media then don't bother.

Spending a month on Bluesky has created a whole new model of a fight we need to be having right now. Not liberal vs. conservative or whatever, but respect vs manipulation.

I am tired of being manipulated everywhere I go. That’s why I like it here, I feel like I’m in charge for once.

No better way to tell you I'm on Bluesky than to announce that I have brought a class action lawsuit against Elon Musk and AmericaPAC for their fraudulent “lottery” giveaway. Speech is free, but lies you have to pay for.
