The fundamental issue in the US that a lot of people seem to miss is the corruption and money in politics.
It is what enabled Trump. It is what will enable the next asshole.
It is what makes you an increasingly unreliable ally.
It will ruin you unless you root it out.

One of the most awesome things I've heard about is that the memory chips they used to put a man on the moon was *handwoven* by a team of seamstresses.
(There were no factory tools that had enough precision for those tiny copper threads.)
