My kids have essentially created an after school #dnd group through raw force of will and today one of the other parents is helping them build their characters in clay. (They're all dragon born.

My problem with 5e has always been that a lot of its depth seems performative, if not supurflous, at the expense of people seeking greater depth than generic beatstick builds and options.

Just rolled credits on Veilguard. Really enjoyed it.
It takes some big swings with setting lore and has some bits that feel underdeveloped (gimme more Lords of Fortune quests) but the overall package is a lot of fun if you just take it for what it is
