The ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 is filled with denial and delusion. Throughout the human community, there is an unreasoning refusal to accept the harsh, heinous truth of what is happening and why it is happening. Unless that truth is fully acknowledged, our situation can only get worse.

Given all the science, I fear the second paragraph is also true for COVID & the minimizing propaganda that tells everyone it’s mild or like a cold. The vaccine, while essential, has never been enough to fully protect your long term health. You also need to wear a well-fitting mask when sharing air.
One of the most disturbing things about the U.S. government getting themselves into the anti-vaccine game is that it is a time-release poison pill.

It will take a few years before the worst of the harm is visible to enough people that they will truly understand what has been done to them.

So, to all the "RFK's got some good ideas" folks (Rachael Bedard, Leana Wen) and Jay Bhattacharya is "an excellent choice for NIH" (Steven Macedo, Frances Lee) and Vinay Prasad "will bring a breath of fresh air to FDA" (Adam Cifu, John Mandrola) groupies--you own this now too.
I think the *speed* at which RFK Jr and his Great Barrington Declaration/anti-vaxx/Brownstone wrecking crew have been dismantling the US public health system has been really astonishing
Well, Senators Bill Cassidy and Thom Tillis, you wanted RFK Jr. to “go wild” at HHS.

Congratulations. You’ve achieved your goal. He is well on his way to completely destroying the US vaccine program.

Oh look exactly in line with what Covid activists and scientists have been saying since the beginning and by the way, that number is “so far.”

The story of Covid-19 is a story of deliberate negligence, irrational denial, reckless choices, careless actions, unrestrained contagion, repeated infections, mass illness, and excess mortality. It will not have a happy ending.

Covid-19 is a destroyer.

Since 2020, Covid-19 has destroyed many millions of human lives, and is destroying lives at this moment.

Unless strong measures of public safety are enforced, Covid-19 will continue to destroy lives.

Action to stop Covid-19 needs to be taken now, without delay.

The ongoing pandemic of Covid-19 is, without question, an overt conspiracy of deliberate negligence, irrational denial, and brazen dishonesty. Everything that has happened since the pandemic was first declared in 2020, all the mass illness and excess mortality, is a result of purposeful evil.

Good to know we're all on the same page.
Not great to know we're all in the same boat.

Public Health (EVERYWHERE) didn't just fail us—they are actively failing us, in real-time. As if Long COVID "just happens". As if it didn't still ruin lives.

This is unsustainable. So how do we correct it?
The flip-side: My son (m16) just left for a friend's (f17) house party & will be the only N95 there

No ventilation or testing
Because nobody sees the risk
He'll have to step out early
Will say it's to keep me safe
How is that fair?

This wouldn't be so hard if public health did it's FUCKING JOB
If you live with someone who has long Covid or a post-viral illness & you’re doing a weekly circuit of maskless bars, restaurants & concerts, you're not "living your life." You're sacrificing theirs

Yes, vaccines work.

And there are other measures that can help make population-scale vaccination campaigns work even better, starting with

1) Clear, consistent & open scientific decision making
2) PPE in hospitals, daycares, long term care homes and schools
3) Clean air and clean hands

Microsoft making easier every day to drop Windows and Office. Honestly, it’s a reaching a point where I’d prefer not to see MS stack at work at all. They keep breaking Windows, stuffing AI garbage into everything, and now this?
microsoft promised to "empower every user" and google to "revolutionise knowledge and technological innovation" but in reality what they have given us is an invasive surveillance dystopian nightmare hard to escape

Had to take the day off from work, not feeling well.

Long shot, but if there's a chance I can get help covering the loss in wage for today (~$100) that'd be amazing and very appreciated - thank you.

A friend with a new baby asked guests to mask in order to hold her baby. A relative refused to mask & broke down in tears about her "restrictions"

As a reminder, babies <6 months have the 2nd highest hospitalization rate from Covid after adults 75+ & are too young to be vaxxed

The careless, collective refusal to wear respirator masks in public spaces has resulted in a hellish situation of constant danger for those few of us who strive to avoid repeated infections of Covid-19. Heedless negligence has fatally compromised the essential standards of public safety.
