You know who you should ask about medical care for trans people?

Trans people themselves.

You know who you shouldn’t ask to know more about medical care for trans people?

Politicians who dump their childhood insecurities onto trans people and refuse to acknowledge they exist.

Just saying.

A New Zealand court announced an injunction on the far-right trans health care ban there.

The court says that the biggest danger is posed by banning care.

A Dem senator pressed Trump's FCC Chair, Brendan Carr, on the agency's independence at a hearing today, noting it says "independent" right on the FCC website.

Minutes later, with the hearing still going on, the website updated. The word "independent" was gone. www.washingtonpost.com/business/202...
Brendan Carr said the FCC isn’t independent. Its website quickly updated.
The Federal Communications Commission chairman faced questioning over the agency’s role in pressuring media companies and its independence from the president.

It’s never ok to discriminate against and berate disabled people.

It’s not an acceptable term to describe anyone, for any reason.

If—for whatever reason—you don't (or can't) do anything special today, can't (or won't) be with others, won't (even if you want to) celebrate this day, I see you. (In fact, I see us.)

Even if you've muted words, you'll see posts about what others are doing. That's OK.

And so are we. ❤️

Saying the “healthy” should be rewarded.

It’s eugenics.

Disability can happen to anyone.

You know how a hurricane can destroy your home no matter how many “safeguards” you had?

That’s chronic illness.

$2000 a month or a year will only cover healthcare for the most healthy in society.

It won’t cover disabled or chronically ill people

It won’t cover those in poverty

It won’t cover catastrophic illness

What happens to them?

They die.

This isn’t a healthcare plan. It’s an elimination strategy.
