By way of support, here's the proportional recount of the division. This is telling us that, although the count of MPs voting aye/no was close, the people they represent clearly shows the ayes had a majority - as if seats matched votes.

Brexit happened and failed.
Now Brexit has taken a desperate final form - Trump.
In him Brexiteers see salvation of their dead project.

I love Ian Hislop but it’s worth noting that most of us would balk at the prospect of publicly admonishing a wrongdoer whose conduct you condemn in this way. I did it once to the UKIP/Reform/Brexit twerp Richard Tice but that took exactly zero guts.
