It was great to stop to Carlingwood Mall and visit the @OttawaHumane Auxiliary Craft Sale. Thanks to the volunteers who raise money to look after homeless pets. They are here today until 5pm and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.

Had a fabulous time at CKCU-FM 50th anniversary reunion. My show’s technician, saved the scripts to my show, The Children’s Hour which I had written by hand (1986-88). I also did stuff like news reading on air. I first met @marksutcliffe.bsky.social here as a CKCU volunteer high school student.

I can safely say it was a “Bazaar” morning with visits to the All Saints Westboro United Church, Unitarian Church Fall Fair & the Danish Club Bazaar at Ron Kolbus Lakeside. Cycling was fine and Alex and I were glad to be able to get around before the freezing rain forecast becomes reality.

This government is paying unelected school supervisors up to $350,000 a year to replace democratically elected trustees and they won’t even respond to parents or communities. Ontarians deserve transparency, not government appointees hiding from accountability.

Blue and black bin collection changes are coming January 1. The City of Ottawa will no longer be responsible for collecting your blue and black bin. Instead, Circular Materials will manage the new recycling system on behalf of the producers of paper and packaging.
