This kind of approach is how abolish the police turned into reduce police budgets. Any democrat who runs on abolishing ice is most likely lying about it so theres zero percent chance someone running to the right of that will actually do it
i think the public-facing message re: ICE needs to be something like “let’s pump the brakes and investigate these bad apples” and then you take power and wipe the whole thing out

Any democrat who even has the desire to run for office fundamentally buys into the fantasy of law and order. We’re so far beyond asking ourselves what is in our legal capacity to stop Trump. The question is what is in our *physical* capacity to stop Trump.

Chicago has *not* yet seen a surge in DHS activity since a gaggle of ~50 feds were seen arriving and then renting cars on Tuesday afternoon.
We simply don't know at this time where the agents and their rentals went (though we have theories). People remain on high alert.

i think it is ok to reiterate that the victim as a us citizen. yes, noncitizens are equally entitled to human rights. but also, it's important to illustrate how ice isn't about immigration at all

I want people to realize prosecuting the police is always a long shot and even when successful that it hasn’t produced any observable change in behavior from the police in general.

once again we see “neutral” news media doing white house stenography. publicly available evidence clearly shows that she was not trying to run anyone over. journalists are allowed to report on what they can see with their own eyes. why lead with this specious “allegation” unless you are a bootlicker
