LRP: It almost sucks that 'In the Pale Moonlight' is literally as good as it is. I saw the really famous bits in isolation and as memes years before I watched the show and watching it in its context still kicked my ass.

To put this into context for non comic fans, this would be like Criterion or Arrow rescanning directly from the film negatives and someone being mad that they left the film grain in. Or getting mad that your manga release isn’t flipped.

Playing Silent Hill f has reminded me of a moment from Umineko where I wondered in what context a certain character would have "casual experience with a naginata" before being informed it was part of girls' P.E. in postwar Japan, which was one of those "Oh. ... Oh! ... Oh..." situations
