When do you think Albanese will realise there’s no placating these people? News Corp pays no tax and adds nothing to Aus society apart from hate, but Labor acts as if it owns them.
Instead of fighting back or standing up for themselves, Albanese and co are like “please sir can I have some more?”

Hanson is calling for tougher hate speech laws, while she is currently in court trying to appeal against her loss in a hate speech legal case. A fact not mentioned by a single outlet covering this story.
Hanson at the Bondi memorial calling for students to be "rounded up" and cuts to immigration. The crowd muttering in agreement, and giving her a huge round of applause once she finishes.

Everything is about to get so much worse in Australia

After a week where Albanese (once again) ended up capitulating to demands of the Israel Lobby & RW hate mongers, the people he did it all to win votes 'from' remind him that there is no chance in hell they would ever vote for him in future (and no chance they were ever going to before).

While in Opposition, Albanese backed the Jewish community against the LNP govt who tried to undermine them by weakening hate speech laws. In govt he’s given them the strongest protections a PM has ever implemented. Anyone booing clearly listens to too much of Sky News or the AJA

I hope Albo has the spine to ignore these idiots, who will surely run out of puff (although the ABC does seem to be on a continuing campaign). On the plus side Josh seems to have gone quiet
coalition politicians dialling up the griefsploitation to 11 is a shockingly bad - as well as disgusting - comms strategy imo. How exactly is this shouty tub thumping meant to win back voters who deserted them under Morrison and Dutton.

Sussan Ley spent the press conference blaming the PM, then turned on Penny Wong. Totally over the top. Not a good look. Disgraceful. #auspol #bondi

It is hard for the Prime Minister to "satisfy his critics" when the ABC (especially its former Murdoch employees) continue its campaign against him
www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12...
History tells us Albanese will call a royal commission into Bondi attack
The prime minister is undoubtedly facing tough conversations behind closed doors, but until the public gets to witness the scrutiny he will never satisfy his critics.

What a pathetic piece, posing as 'analysis'. Light on fact, it closes with "[Albo] cannot expect applause from the Jewish community until his words are followed by action." What a crock
www.abc.net.au/news/2025-12...
Why the contrast between Chris Minns and the PM has been stark
As Sydneysiders paid their respects to the Bondi terror victims, one moment captured the contrast between two Labor leaders and their perceived responses to antisemitism.

"In the absence of firm beliefs or ideological grounding, Albanese’s instincts are first to find a middle ground and then if that doesn’t work, cede his position to the loudest or most powerful, voices in the room."

Now, the loudest voice is the Israel lobby, and their media & political megaphones.

Helen Haines was a key voice leading to the establishment of the NACC. She is critical, including implied, of the Chief Commissioner. www.thenewdaily.com.au/news/politic...
Why the NACC faces an exceptional challenge to ensure integrity
Few issues unite progressive and conservative voters. Ending corruption is one of the few exceptions.

Australia, as a result, comes in at #29 globally on press freedom, an appalling result for a country that prides itself on its democracy and pluralism.

(By contrast, the media I am now consuming in the Netherlands comes in at #3.)

RIP Twitter. Soon, I hope.
Teens turn to a variety of online platforms, but YouTube continues to stand out. Roughly nine-in-ten teens report ever using it. TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat are the next most widely used platforms.

Hopeless.
As if Abbott, Morrison and Howard have anything to offer
maybe Morrison could appoint himelf Minister for Israel?
