Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring, was instrumental in this. His doctorial thesis in molecular biology was sequencing mRNA in HIV. The paper was also heavily cited in creating the COVID-19 vaccine.

CDC leadership just told staff on Monday that they could stop sending their "5 things I did last week" emails. Finally.
Per source, people were mostly just sending the same things every week. Many folks added read receipts and were able to see that no one at DOGE was actually reading the emails.

I can't stop watching @contrapoints.bsky.social new video. It is somehow soothing despite the serious nature of the content? Conspiracy theories can be so weird and alarming to encounter in real life, and she deftly breaks down what people get out of them in a way that just makes sense.

Honestly?
This might sound like crank nonsense but I think a large part of why we're in this mess is we're all too willing to discuss issues without mentioning solutions.
It's why I never simply say "people cannot charge at apartments" - that's a political reality, not a practical one.
