Kinda think we do need that shit. Sure, I don’t like it, but if we’re going to win, we might need clickbait. We need a lot of people who like clickbait to vote, show up at protests, etc. If the other side has this shit and we don’t, that’s part of how we lose.
I try not to repost news from Meidas because, and this is important, they click bait and rage bait and honestly I don't think any of us need that shit.

Friend just went through the TSA checkpoint in Philly, and they had face scanners. She asked whether it’s required now. They said yes, ma’am (a lie, but she believed them). The nerve!

Never have a felt such burning contempt as I do for these people. Every punishment I think of is too good for them.

It’s 3:14 AM, and I am eating a $9 mini-can of Pringles, which I do not like, from the hotel minibar.

Jet lag sucks.

"we don't owe anybody our vote"

you don't owe *politicians* your support, but you have moral obligations to other people that entail trying to avoid their death or oppression

We know it wasn’t Israel because the shooter only killed Kirk and not a bunch of children too.

It’s not libel when it’s a well documented thing they’ve been doing frequently. Kids are showing up at Gaza hospitals with head shots from snipers, and IDF soldiers joke on social media about how great it is to shoot children.

There's no point in punishing the nominees of the opposition for stances that we consider beyond the pale — let alone ones that are problematic. The logic of "teaching them a lesson" presupposes that we still have a system in which the opposition can win elections.

“Actual liberation” is permanent when you envision a totalitarian victory that crushes all dissent, forever, but leftistly.
I genuinely don't know what "actual liberation" is supposed to mean or why it would be permanent.

With nearly every wealthy country but the U.S. lining up to recognize Palestine, I’ve gotta wonder if this is partly a paradoxical effect of electing Trump. Have we so trashed our diplomatic credibility that can no longer protect our client from consequences?

243. Giving dumb nicknames to politicians or groups you don't like (e.g. tRump, Obummer, magats, demonrats, israHELL) is exceptionally cringe and makes you look unserious. Always has been. Just don't do it.

“And, as we shall see, it's not obvious people in the USA are actually getting better healthcare out of this.”

I got much better healthcare in the US—on the high-deductible private insurance I had as a university lecturer—than I currently get from the NHS. 1/
