I've never had a friend die before and wasn't ready for the "ooh our fave actress will be in a new drama, I should send this to them" only to remember you can't send a link to the afterlife as part of the grieving process. Or tearing up on the bus cause their fave song started playing on spotify.

Wake Up Dead Man is streaming so I can express more specific thoughts without feeling guilty: there's a Phone Call Scene that starts out as a pretty straightforward frustrating customer-service call, evolves into something transcendent. beautifully acted, almost unbearably lovely. fucked me up bad.
had high hopes for Wake Up Dead Man, and they were exceeded. I feel insanely biased, though, as a lapsed Catholic who loves impeccably crafted locked-room mysteries & murder at the vicarage. imho the funniest, most poignant, and maybe prettiest Benoit Blanc entry yet.
